Stone Sealers and Tile adhesives
We are very often asked if you need to seal your slate and in most cases we will always say yes, if using internally we will always recommend that it be sealed. Sealing protects the stone in a number of ways for example if you are using slate tiles in the kitchen and you drop some cooking oil on it you will find that you will be able to clean it up a lot easier. there are loads more reasons to use a good sealer but the finish should be your own personal preference whether to go for a sealer that will not alter the slate colour very much or a slate enhancer which will bring out a deeper richer colour to the slate .
Note : It is always worth checking on a small piece of slate prior to using over a big area to be sure you like the finish of the final product .
